Healthcare Assistant - Community and Hospice Line

We are looking for a calm, compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with excellent communication skills to join our community nursing and hospice line team - a collaborative telephone support service for people approaching the end of life and their families.

Main Duties

• Provide emotional support for anxious or distressed families
• Coordinate community responses
• Record changes in condition
• Take calls when a death has occurred
• Visit patients in their own homes

About You

• A calm, confident communicator
• Compassionate and patient
• Experienced in a care or healthcare setting
• Able to make safe decisions and raise concerns appropriately
• Comfortable working independently in a community setting
• Reliable, resilient and confident using electronic systems
• Willing to attend daytime training and work flexibly
