Health Care Assistants - Day & Night Shifts

We are now inviting applications for caring, empathetic, and reliable Health Care Assistants to join our dedicated team at Padre Pio Care Centre, Churchtown, Co Cork - reopening in December.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of our care community. You will support residents in their daily lives, helping them to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life while being a friendly and reassuring presence.
The Role - What You'll DoWorking as part of our professional care team, you will:
- Provide person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs and preferences.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, offering companionship and emotional support.
- Assist residents with mobility, encouraging independence and promoting physical well-being.
- Support residents with personal care and hygiene needs, always respecting their dignity.
- Help residents with meals, hydration, and overall comfort.
- Participate in social and recreational activities, encouraging engagement and enjoyment.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to maintain a strong circle of support.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the home.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and infection control at all times.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Nurse in Charge or management.
We are seeking individuals who bring compassion, respect, and commitment to their work, along with:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or residential care environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
- A positive, flexible, and can-do attitude.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Full- time hours 39 per week
