Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on a major construction project in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to join a leading Tier 1 construction environment, working as part of an experienced project team with excellent opportunities for career progression.
The RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a strong Health & Safety culture across the project, working closely with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the project.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.
- Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Method Statements and H&S documentation.
- Provide practical H&S advice and guidance to site management and subcontractors.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of the project Health & Safety Plan.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Monitor compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Maintain accurate H&S records and prepare reports as required.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections.
- Liaise with subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure high standards of Health & Safety are maintained.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of H&S systems and procedures.
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.
- Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and site inspections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
