Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on a major construction project in Dublin.


This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to join a leading Tier 1 construction environment, working as part of an experienced project team with excellent opportunities for career progression.


The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a strong Health & Safety culture across the project, working closely with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the project.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.

  • Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Method Statements and H&S documentation.

  • Provide practical H&S advice and guidance to site management and subcontractors.

  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of the project Health & Safety Plan.

  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.

  • Monitor compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations.

  • Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.

  • Maintain accurate H&S records and prepare reports as required.

  • Support internal and external audits and inspections.

  • Liaise with subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure high standards of Health & Safety are maintained.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of H&S systems and procedures.


Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.

  • 3+ years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.

  • Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and site inspections.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Safe Pass.
