Job Description

Kinaxia Logistics is recruiting a Healthy, Safety and Quality Manager to join their team in Manchester. The purpose of this role is to supervise and maintain full compliance in all aspects of Quality and Compliance, primarily in accordance with BRCGS Storage and Distribution Issue 4 and ISO 9001:2015.

Working hours:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week

About the job:

  • Advise senior managers on all quality matters and collaborate with departments to meet quality objectives.
  • Monitor and assist employees to ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety regulations without adding risks.
  • Manage and report Quality KPIs, ensuring adherence to targets.
  • Conduct on-site audits against ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and BRCGS standards; develop improvement plans.
  • Support achievement of client-specific standards like SMETA 6 and Organic Standards.
  • Assist with business tenders and liaise with customers to meet quality requirements.
  • Support audit processes for BRCGS and ISO standards.
  • Investigate nonconformance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Share best practices across sites and support the rollout of management systems like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Enforce Health and Safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
  • Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Management of ISO 9001 and BRCGS certifications.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards; HACCP Level 2 desirable.
  • Awareness of BRCGS Storage and Distribution Issue 4 and ISO 9001:2015.
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, risk assessments, and policy implementation.
  • Familiarity with 5S, Lean Management, Six Sigma.
