Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

We are working with a leading international manufacturing client who are seeking to hire a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for their Ballymount Site. In this role you will be the lead HSE for the site, reporting into group Health and Safety.

The role will suit someone with precious HSE management experience in a manufacturing setting. This person will be a visible leader who will engage with and promote top class H&S across the site.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the safety first culture across the site
• Ensure compliance with all H&S legislation
• Support waste reduction, energy efficiency, resource conservation, and environmental improvement programmes.
• Develop, implement, review, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead and oversee risk assessments, workplace inspections, and the development of safe systems of work to promote a safe and compliant working environment.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage internal and external HSE audits, supporting certification and ongoing compliance with recognised management standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 where applicable.

Minimum requirements

• Minimum of 5 years HSE experience with at least 2 years of this in manufacturing or industrial.
• Demonstratable experience adhering to Irish legislation
• Leadership experience with the ability to influence safety across site
