Health & Safety Officer (Co. Tyrone)

This privately-owned contractor based in Co. Tyrone is looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to strengthen their business. With over 35 years+ experience within the construction industry, the company has an innovative, reliable and flexible attitude in delivering their new build projects throughout NI & ROI. They have a reputation for delivering schemes in sectors such as education, historic restoration buildings, commercial and hotels and now require a Health & Safety Advisor to support on a large-scale project based in Co. Tyrone.
Your new role
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing H&S on a range of new build and refurbishment schemes across Northern Ireland with your time initially based on a major education project in Co. Tyrone.

You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures with the support of a Health & Safety Manager throughout a range of projects simultaneously. You will actively promote ISO 45001, 9001 & 14001 legislation within each project alongside monitoring, evaluating and reviewing existing, new and upcoming Health and Safety legislation, ensuring the company has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
As a successful SHEQ Advisor, you will have a previous track record working in a similar role preferably within a construction environment. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree.
