Health & Safety Officer - Newport (office-based) - £35,000-£38,000 per annum

Juice Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing and well established organisation in their search for an experienced Health & Safety Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward thinking business with ambitious growth plans, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping, maintaining, and continuously improving health and safety standards across the organisation.

Day to Day: Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take ownership of all Health & Safety responsibilities across the business. This is a varied, hands on role where you'll be instrumental in creating a culture of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and reviewing Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Leading on fire safety management and compliance
• Delivering engaging training sessions to staff at all levels
• Managing and investigating incidents, ensuring thorough reporting and follow up
• Partnering with managers across the business to drive best practice

We Are Looking For: We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable individual who thrives in a fast paced environment. You will bring:

• At least 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
• NEBOSH Fire Safety qualification or equivalent
• COSHH training
• Strong experience in fire risk assessments and compliance
• A solid understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
• Excellent communication skills with confidence in training and advising stakeholders
