Health & Safety Officer

Support the safe and compliant operation of a fast-paced industrial environment by promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture. Ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures, and legal requirements while driving continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk reduction measures
• Develop and maintain safe operating procedures
• Perform regular site inspections and audits
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and industry standards
• Investigate incidents, maintain records, and produce reports/statistics
• Advise on fire safety, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safety, and occupational health

Training & Awareness

• Deliver manual handling and H&S training
• Lead internal training sessions for employees and management
• Promote safety awareness and best practices

Qualifications & Experience

• Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline
• 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or service environment
• Strong risk assessment and reporting capability
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
• ERP knowledge (desirable)
• DGSA qualification (desirable)
