Health & Safety Lead (Sweden)

Health & Safety Lead - 12738

Health & Safety Lead required to join one of Ireland's largest Tier 1 Main Contractors to work on a Data Centre project in Sweden. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Health & Safety Manager and the Project Director.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the company safety management system, EHS laws, and project execution plans.
• Coordinate and manage task-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments, permits, and safety interventions.
• Maintain good safety practices through regular site audits, C.O.S.H.H assessments, and hazardous substance control.
• Oversee staff induction, training, and ensure subcontractors adhere to EHS policies.
• Manage project PPE, welfare, and hygiene facilities, ensuring they meet requirements.
• Assist with accident investigations and keep the Safety File documentation up to date.
• Participate in daily briefings and maintain waste reduction and recycling programs according to project policies.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external clients.
• Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• IT Skills - Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
