Are you a Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact across a busy FMCG manufacturing site?

We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Lead to join a well established manufacturing business. Reporting into the Operations Director, this role will support the ongoing development of Health & Safety standards, systems, and culture across the site.

This is a hands on role working closely with operational teams to improve engagement, maintain compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive Health & Safety improvements across site
• Maintain and update Health & Safety systems and documentation
• Promote a proactive and positive safety culture
• Support audits, investigations, and compliance activities
• Work closely with managers and teams across the business
• Liaise with external bodies including HSE and insurers
• Monitor incidents, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support training and day to day H&S activities across site

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a Health & Safety role in manufacturing or FMCG
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Good understanding of H&S legislation and compliance
• Ability to influence and support teams across departments
• Proactive and continuous improvement mindset
• NEBOSH Certificate essential
• NEBOSH Diploma desirable but not essential

This role would suit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor looking for more ownership and autonomy within a manufacturing environment.

Easily commutable from Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering, Malton, Guisborough, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Northallerton and surrounding areas.
