Description

The Health & Safety (H&S) Apprentice will support the H&S team in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment at Marlborough Highways. This role is designed to provide hands on experience and training in various aspects of health, safety and Environment management, including risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the H&S team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
• Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Help maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of safety training sessions for employees.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to health and safety.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A keen interest in health and safety and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential hazards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• UK driving license holder.
