Health & Safety Advisor (Finland)

Overview

Our client, a main contractor with projects across Europe, is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support their team on a data centre project in Finland. The successful candidate will provide local guidance and support to help managers and staff meet the high safety standards required by the business.

Job Summary

• Maintain strong relationships with business teams, directors, managers, and project teams to support effective implementation of the Group Safety Management System.
• Appoint competent safety personnel, ensure training needs are met, and participate in safety committees.
• Oversee risk assessments and safety procedures, including lifting operations, temporary works, fire/emergencies, inductions, permits, and bespoke site processes.
• Manage risks to third parties and other contractors, ensuring compliance and proactive safety measures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, identify causes, implement preventive actions, and report on health & safety performance.
• Stay up to date with health and safety regulations, liaise with industry bodies, and promote Group safety standards to staff and clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and practices.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
