Job Description

I am currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor on the appointment of a Health & Safety Advisor for a major infrastructure project based in North Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated H&S professional to join a well-established contractor delivering significant infrastructure works across Ireland.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of health and safety best practice across site operations and work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of site-specific health & safety policies and procedures
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across project teams
  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with Irish H&S legislation and project/client requirements
  • Deliver toolbox talks, H&S training, and day to day guidance to site teams
  • Prepare reports, identify areas for improvement, and support continuous safety enhancement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with site and project management to maintain safe working practices
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years' experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction / civil engineering
  • Relevant Irish H&S qualification (Diploma / Certificate / IOSH / NEBOSH equivalent recognised in Ireland)
  • Strong understanding of Irish H&S legislation and construction regulations
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required
