Twickenham School is a high performing mixed secondary school for students aged in Twickenham, south west London. As part of the Bourne Education Trust (BET), a multi academy trust with twenty four schools across Surrey, Hampshire, and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, we are committed to Transforming schools changing lives. Position: Head of Year

Contract: Full time, permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the achievement, progress and pastoral provision for a year group of students
  • Oversee the strategic development of the year group, including self evaluation and the improvement plan
  • Monitor student progress including attendance, achievement and behaviour
Requirements
  • Awareness of safeguarding and commitment to the protection of pupils
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of teaching in relevant Key Stage and/or subject area
  • Experience in coordinating a subject or phase leadership
