Head of Treasury and Tax

The Head of Treasury and Tax will play a critical leadership role within B&M's finance function, reporting directly to the Interim CFO and leading the development of a best-in-class treasury capability. This is a high-profile appointment with responsibility for shaping treasury strategy, strengthening governance and controls, and ensuring the business is well positioned ahead of future refinancing activity.

Operating in a fast-paced, international retail environment, the successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery. They will build strong relationships across the business and with external banking partners, while driving improvements in liquidity management, cash forecasting, treasury operations and financial risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group treasury function, defining treasury strategy, governance and risk management frameworks.
• Manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships and funding activities, ensuring strong financial resilience.
• Deliver the strategic financing agenda, including preparation for future refinancing activity and effective use of banking facilities.
• Improve treasury processes, controls and scalability, including optimisation of systems and treasury operations.
• Provide commercial treasury insight and build strong stakeholder relationships across Finance, leadership teams, banks and advisors.

What We Are Looking For

• Significant senior treasury experience within a fast paced business environment.
• Expertise across cash management, liquidity planning, refinancing, banking relationships and financial risk management.
• Proven ability to lead change, improve treasury capability and operate effectively in fast paced, evolving environments.
• Commercially minded, collaborative and pragmatic leader with stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• ACA, CIMA, ACT or equivalent qualification.
