Head of Sundry and Adult Social Care Collections

Permanent

Grade 7 - £66,627 - £85,845

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

We are seeking a senior, delivery focused leader to head up this critical income and debt service at a time of significant change. As Head of Sundry and Adult Social Care Collection, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of sundry debt and Adult Social Care collections. This role will play a key part in the transition of these services into the Revenues and Benefits portfolio, helping to align the service, strengthen controls and embed consistent, high performing collection practices across your portfolio.

You'll drive performance, maximise income, modernise collection and recovery processes as well as lead and motivate a large workforce through the improved use of data, digital solutions and strong financial governance. You'll ensure our customer journeys are exemplary and that the service provides best value to the residents and businesses of Birmingham.

Key Qualifications
  • Senior leadership experience in collections, debt recovery or income services
  • A strong track record of improving performance and delivering service transformation
  • Experience managing complex budgets and leading large teams
  • Confidence working through organisational change
  • A customer focused, data led and commercially minded approach
