We are currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity here at Clinical Partners.

The head of service design will play a crucial role in shaping and overseeing the design of the healthcare services and products. The successful candidate's role will be to develop innovative, high-quality services to meet market demands aligned to Clinical Partners' business objectives and core values.

This is a new capability within the business development function, so your initial responsibility will be to design and build a service design framework aligned to the business development diversification strategy and lead priority projects in 2025.

The successful candidate will need to understand the complex systems and ways of working within the NHS and Private healthcare sector and have a desire to find solutions to the challenges faced by our customers. You will have experience in working in/alongside the NHS and private healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design new services, engaging subject matter experts as required, to create effective solutions and pathways which are evidence-based, insight-driven, and co-produced with key stakeholders.
2. Keep up to date with the organization's strategy and support service development in line with strategic plans.
3. Ensure design solutions are researched to meet market/service user needs, are evidence-based, and fully costed.
4. Ensure that new and changed services are effectively transitioned into the live ops environment, promoting a seamless and efficient service delivery framework.
5. Proactively work with Business Development, Marketing, Clinical Leadership, Operations, HR, and Finance to ensure that all relevant support factors are put in place for the launch of any new service line.
6. Define best practices, influence design and system strategy. Manage the service design, user engagement, digital inclusion, and sustainability functions, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements:

1. Educated to degree level with further relevant specialist professional qualifications or equivalent experience.
2. Evidence of ongoing, relevant professional development.
3. Extensive and in-depth knowledge and understanding of Service Design associated with this field.
4. Extensive knowledge of Quality Improvement.
5. Experience in service or product development.
6. Knowledge of NHS and other sectors such as the independent health sector, social care, public health and wellbeing, and the voluntary sector.
7. Project management experience.
8. Technical skills and ability to demonstrate design through detailed graphics and narrative.
