Head of Service

About the Role

Full time position of 36 hours per week. As Head of Service at HC One you will lead the food service team, ensuring residents receive nutritious, healthy meals and desserts. You will demonstrate kindness, maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene, and keep resident well being above all else.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals; assist with cakes for morning tea trolley and lunch time dessert.
• Maintain food supplies and manage fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Show new starters how to use kitchen equipment and clean spills from the oven.
• Apply food safety standards and keep accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Act 1990, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations.
• Communicate with residents and co workers in a considerate and kind manner.

Qualifications

• Relevant kitchen experience.
• Knowledge of the Food Safety Act 1990, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations.
• Excellent record keeping and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Strong communication skills and a kind, resident first attitude.
