Head of Service

Overview

This is a full-time role working 36 hours per week, with full flexibility required including alternate weekend working.

In your role as Head of Service at HC-One, you'll value kindness above all. You'll contribute to our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes, where Residents are treated as individuals with their own stories. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that residents will love.
• Assist and prepare cakes for the morning tea trolley and the lunch-time dessert/cakes.
• Demonstrate the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
• Maintain food supplies and monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Show new starters how to use equipment and maintain a clean kitchen environment, ensuring resident well-being is the priority.
• Adhere to relevant food safety and health & safety regulations and follow recipes accurately.

Qualifications

HC-One is looking for someone with kitchen experience. You must be aware of The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations. Good record keeping and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. You should communicate with residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.
