As part of the next phase of our exciting school journey, the Governors, pupils and staff of
Brownsover Community School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Head of
School (HOS).
Brownsover Community School is entering a transformative and inspiring new phase. Formerly a twoform entry infant school, we are now on an exciting journey to becoming a single-form entry allthrough primary school, offering high-quality education from Reception through to Year 6. This is a
pivotal time in our school's development, and we are seeking a dedicated and visionary leader to
join us on this journey.
Situated in the heart of Brownsover, our school serves a diverse and vibrant community. The
successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspirational leader with a proven ability to drive
excellence. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality, innovative
teaching and learning experiences, and who has the skills to lead staff through change with clarity,
purpose, and impact.
You will be someone who can identify areas for development, empower and inspire others,
implement strategic change, and, most importantly, secure positive outcomes for our children.

You should be able to demonstrate that you can:
- Promote consistently good/outstanding teaching enabling pupils to make good progress;
- Take a full and positive role in the life of the school;
- Manage people well, fostering positive and professional relationships that support, nurture
and empower;
- Deliver a strategic learning-focused vision and demonstrate drive for excellence;
- Work on your own initiative, make management decisions and manage situations
independently with the support of the Executive Headteacher and other colleagues;
- Make a wider contribution to the whole school community.

The post will be available full time from September 2025 however we recognise that a later start date
may be necessary for the successful candidate and this would not be a barrier to appointment.
Experienced existing school leaders are welcome to apply however this position would also suit an
aspiring future school leader who already has a successful track record within management and
leadership and would like to gain further experience within the supportive environment of a
collegiate structure.
