Overview

Security Management Resources, Inc. has just opened a search for a Head of Protective Services, a role designed for a visionary leader ready to shape and elevate protective programs. This senior role leads a team dedicated to discreetly protecting our client's executives-at work, while traveling, during events, and at home. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in executive protection and a proven record of leading teams that provide discreet security services for high-profile individuals. The role is based in the Midwest United States and requires domestic and international travel to implement and oversee global protective programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, and manage global operations and activities for a team of dedicated protection specialists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to assess and evaluate broad security threats and risks that may affect protective services.
• Leverage intelligence sources to identify and assess vulnerabilities and security risks associated with global travel, providing direct support to principals as needed while on travel and at events.
• Qualify, select, and coordinate the activities of domestic and international external service providers.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement security training and awareness programs.

Requirements, Skills, and Competencies

• Continuing education in a related discipline; accreditation and certification in executive protection skills and competencies highly preferred.
• Experience leading protective service programs for high-profile executives within multinational corporate or family office environments.
• Skilled in the use and implementation of physical security systems and technology and must meet all requirements for certification under LEOSA or CCW laws.
• Exceptional analytical skills combined with strong decision-making abilities.
• Exhibits executive presence and high integrity, with proven skill in discretion and maintaining privacy.
• Possession of a valid US passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
