Head of Property Management

Are you an experienced Lettings professional with a passion for operational excellence, compliance, and team leadership?

Our clients are a successful estate agency in the Maldon area, seeking a Head of Property Management to join their close-knit team. This is not a sales or marketing role, instead, you'll focus on the full lettings management lifecycle, overseeing compliance, tenant and landlord relations, deposits, and legislation.

• Guaranteed salary of £46,000 during probation (basic + commission on company lettings income)

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of lettings property management (excluding viewings and new business)
• Handle tenant referencing, deposits, tenancy agreements, rent insurance renewals
• Manage check-outs, dispute resolution and TDS claims
• Conduct property visits and ensure compliance with evolving legislation (e.g. Renters Reform Bill)
• Daily banking, rent payments, reconciliations
• Lead, support, and mentor a knowledgeable and hardworking team
• Liaise with landlords and tenants professionally and empathetically

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential lettings management
• Familiarity with lettings software
• Excellent understanding of UK lettings legislation and upcoming changes
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
