Head of Procurement

Chase & Holland are delighted to have been exclusively engaged to partner with an exceptional business based in Nottingham to find a Head of Procurement to lead that function and sit on the Senior Leadership Team for the business.

The role will have functional leadership of the Procurement function for the business and manage all day-to-day activities as well as longer-term strategic procurement decisions. The Head of Procurement also manages the various team members within the procurement function.

A selection of the responsibilities attached to this role includes:

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable procurement functions
• Set clear goals, expectations, and performance indicators across the Procurement team
• Build and coach a high-performing team with strong execution capability and a continuous improvement mindset
• Own the culture within Procurement, ensuring alignment with group values and strategy

As Head of Procurement, you will be required to:

• Develop and implement a group-wide sourcing strategy that leverages scale, delivers cost savings, and ensures quality and ethical standards
• Rationalise the supplier base where appropriate while securing continuity, compliance, and innovation
• Lead contract negotiations with key suppliers and ensure favourable terms and service level adherence
• Champion supplier relationship management and performance tracking at the group level

The Head of Procurement role requires an experienced leader of procurement divisions who can demonstrate tangible results in team development and personal deliverables. This role sits on the SLT for the business and serves as a key figurehead, representing procurement activities.
