Job Description

As the Head of Performance Marketing, you'll be the strategic master behind our performance marketing efforts, ensuring that we as Bits & Pretzels empower founders to shape a better future in Europe. You'll be a central figure in shaping how the world sees and experiences Bits & Pretzels.

Activities

  • Performance Marketing: Drive growth through SEM, social media, and e-mail marketing with a strong focus on performance KPIs. Lead continuous CRO initiatives to optimize funnels, while owning website and ticketing performance end-to-end to maximize conversions and deliver measurable impact.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives to drive brand growth and engagement. Own the budget, track success and stay adaptive.
  • Team Leadership : Manage, mentor, and motivate a talented marketing team to deliver their best work and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Optimize Performance: Leverage Google Analytics, HubSpot, in-channel tracking, and our server-side tracking setup to monitor and analyze campaign performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure every initiative delivers measurable results.
  • Cross-Team-Alignment: As part of the management team, you are a crucial part of shaping the future of Bits & Pretzels. Your comprehensive strategic thinking and view of the bigger picture is wanted and needed in developing our event.
  • Brand & Content Excellence: Strengthen and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all marketing initiatives and communications. Enable and challenge the content marketing team on and off event to guarantee 365 days of relevance for our brand.

Requirements

  • Strategic Thinking : Proven ability to develop and execute performance marketing strategies that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable results, with a strong focus on acquisition, retention, and conversion.
  • Leadership Expertise: 2+ years of proven experience in managing, mentoring, and motivating teams to achieve high performance and foster professional growth.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
  • Digital Marketing Proficiency : Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, platforms, and techniques, including SEO, SEM, e-mail marketing, social media, and CRO. Proven track record of driving performance through channel-specific strategies.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficient in analyzing data, interpreting metrics, and applying insights to optimize campaigns. Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, HubSpot, in-channel tracking, and server-side tracking setups to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Budget Management: Experience in planning and overseeing budgets to ensure cost-effective allocation of resources and a high return on investment.
  • Brand Management : Understanding of branding principles and the ability to maintain consistency while adapting to new opportunities.
  • Industry Awareness: Familiarity with market trends, audience behaviors, and competitor strategies to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and demands.
  • Event Marketing: Experience in promoting events, ticketing funnels, and customer journeys is a plus.

Team

Our marketing team brings together expertise in Marketing Relations, UI/UX, Graphic Design, Content, and SEO, while we collaborate with external specialists to drive our paid performance marketing channels and tracking.

Application Process

1st Interview with the CMO and the current Head of Marketing at Bits & Pretzels, followed by a case study assignment.
