Head of Operations

Wilson's Country is a leading potato brand in Ireland with a proud heritage spanning 40 years. Employing more than 130 people across two sites in Craigavon, the business supplies a broad portfolio of own-label and branded prepack, peeled and cooked convenience potato products to many of Ireland's leading food retailers, foodservice providers and food manufacturers.

As Wilson's Country enters an exciting new phase of development, the business is seeking to appoint a Head of Operations to play a central role in strengthening its operational capability and supporting its ambitions for continued improvement and sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Head of Operations will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across production, site operations, engineering and technical functions. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of the operations strategy, driving continuous improvement across people, processes and plant performance while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will be an experienced operational leader with a strong track record gained within a complex manufacturing environment. They will bring proven experience of implementing continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, delivering operational KPIs and productivity improvements, and driving cost control and operational performance. Strong leadership and commercial acumen, combined with sound knowledge of Health & Safety and food safety standards including HACCP and BRCGS, will be key to success in this role.
