Head of Operations

We are partnering with a fast-growing Lloyd's market MGA to appoint a Head of Operations to join its senior leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the global operations function of a business that is experiencing significant growth and investing heavily in technology, infrastructure, and talent. With responsibility for operations across London, international offices, and a substantial offshore support function, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and supporting the next phase of the company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the global operations strategy in line with business growth objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing international operations team.
• Contribute to wider business strategy and decision-making as part of the senior leadership team.
• Oversee offshore operations, ensuring strong governance, quality, and service delivery.
• Enhance underwriting operations through effective controls, workflows, and process improvements.
• Drive operational efficiency, data quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage key relationships with insurers, capacity providers, and market partners.
• Lead the operational technology roadmap and support business transformation programmes.

Qualifications

We are keen to speak with experienced operational leaders from the Lloyd's, MGA, or wider insurance market. You'll bring expertise in underwriting operations, delegated authority, and capacity management, alongside a proven track record of leading global teams, driving operational transformation, and implementing strong governance frameworks. The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders at executive and board level is essential.
