Head of Media Planning

A leading Manchester-based media agency is looking to find an experienced Head of Media Planning to lead its planning team working 3 days a week in their office, with a strong focus onAV - TV,VOD, Cinema, Audio and Programmatic.

This is a key leadership role for a strategic planner who understands how to build impactful, audience-first campaigns. The successful candidate will lead planning across a varied client portfolio, driving innovative multi-channel strategies that deliver reach, relevance and results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the agency's media planning function and manage a team of planners.
• Develop integrated campaigns across Video, OOH, Audio, Sponsorships, Press and Experiential.
• Act as senior strategic lead for key clients, offering confident media recommendations.
• Work closely with activation teams, media owners and client services to ensure strong delivery.
• Support new business pitches and agency growth initiatives.
• Raise planning standards, processes and effectiveness across the agency.

Ideal Experience

• Senior media planning experience within an agency environment.
• Strong expertise across traditional and brand-building media channels.
• Proven team leadership and client management skills.
• Commercially aware, strategic, and highly collaborative.
• Passion for creative media thinking and innovation.
