This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or current second-in-department who is passionate about English, curriculum development, and raising standards for all learners.

The successful Head of Maths will:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Maths department across KS3-KS5
• Drive outstanding teaching, learning, and outcomes in Maths
• Design and implement an ambitious, engaging curriculum
• Support, coach, and inspire members of the Maths team
• Monitor progress, use data effectively, and implement strategies for improvement
• Play a key role in whole-school development as a middle leader

Person specification:

• Qualified teacher with QTS and a specialism in Maths
• Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Evidence of strong classroom practice and excellent behaviour management
• Experience in, or readiness for, a leadership or management role
• Highly organised, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
• Passionate about making a meaningful difference to students' outcomes
