About the Role

We are looking for a visionary Head of Maths to lead our department in a 33 acre preparatory school. The role involves managing teaching standards, developing coherent programmes and procedures across KS1 KS3, and fostering a culture of mathematical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maths department.
• Ensure coherent and balanced programmes across KS1 KS3.
• Inspire a love for problem solving and numerical fluency.
• Provide bespoke mentorship for high attaining pupils and support for those requiring additional help.
• Use standardised data to set ambitious targets and track value added progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support the overall success of the school.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of outstanding Maths teaching at KS2 and KS3.
• Experience preparing children for Common Entrance and CASE examinations.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies, including an Enhanced DBS.
