Head of Mathematics: The successful candidate will work alongside a newly appointed Director of Maths to inspire excellence at Harper Green School, part of Leverhulme Academy Trust. Salary: Leadership Scale L10-L12 (£64,688 to £67,897 per annum). Full time, permanent.

We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Head of Maths to lead our Maths department and drive excellent teaching and outcomes for all students. As a values based school, we are committed to high expectations, strong relationships and ensuring every student can succeed.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the Maths department, fostering a collaborative and high performing team.
• Drive high standards of teaching and learning, promoting excellence across all year groups.
• Co develop curriculum and assessment regimes to achieve outstanding student outcomes.
• Provide strong leadership and support for staff through professional development.
• Maintain effective contact with students, parents and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience:

• Strong classroom leadership with a record of delivering high quality Maths education.
• Experience in senior leadership within a secondary school setting.
• Evidence of commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.

Working conditions: Salary within Leadership Scale L10 L12, full time permanent. Vacancies required for September 2026. Closing date: 9 am Wednesday 25 March 2026. Interviews on 30 March or 1 April 2026.
