About this Role

The Head of Marketing & Communication at Oikocredit International plays a pivotal role in guiding the organization's external and internal communications. This position requires building and sustaining the Oikocredit brand, leading investor marketing strategies, and ensuring a consistent, compelling organizational voice. The role is essential in advancing Oikocredit's reputation, enhancing investor engagement, and supporting mission-driven capital-raising initiatives. Key responsibilities include setting strategic direction, coordinating cross-functional campaigns, and fostering a collaborative team culture. The Head of Marketing & Communication will ensure that marketing efforts align with the organization's mission and strategic goals, working closely with leadership to manage and reduce reputational risks. The successful candidate will oversee the development of investor marketing strategies, ensuring compliance and alignment with audience needs, and optimizing multi-channel marketing efforts for attracting and retaining investors.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy, planning, and internal enablement by leading the marketing and communications team.
  • Direct the creation of annual planning, budgeting, and prioritization processes.
  • Oversee the development of content and investor marketing strategies.
  • Guide the production of corporate content, ensuring compliance and narrative quality.
  • Manage cross-department collaboration, focusing on HR and internal communication.
  • Direct execution of investor marketing strategies supporting capital raising.
  • Ensure consistency between central messaging and local implementation.
  • Oversee the development of investor propositions ensuring compliance.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading teams in an international context.
  • Experience in capital raising, impact investing, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in public relations, media engagement, and crisis communication.
  • Track record in developing strategic marketing and communication plans.
  • Hands-on experience with digital and traditional media.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
