The Role: Head of Market Reporting - Electrification & Materials

Location: London, New York, Houston, or Singapore

Team: This role is part of the Platts Business Line leadership team within the Energy Division. It manages a global team across sectors such as Generating Fuels & Electricity, Environmental Markets, Biofuels, Agriculture & Food, Fertilizers, and Metals Markets. The global head drives forward electrification and materials coverage by developing new assessments, strengthening benchmarks, and improving news coverage in collaboration with the global news team.

What's in it for you: The position offers strategic involvement in defining and managing the electrification & materials portfolio, setting overall strategy, driving benchmark decisions, and engaging stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Drive overall growth strategy for electrification and materials benchmarks, ensuring alignment with the business line strategy and revenue mix.
  • Oversee methodology design and development for market analysis, providing price assessments used as benchmarks and reference prices in commodity trading.
  • Lead the vertically oriented benchmarks through organic and inorganic means, acquiring relevant information to sustain relevance and growth.
  • Manage strategic market engagement, maintaining relationships with key participants and building partnerships with exchanges worldwide.
  • Implement new content and support product development aligned with energy business goals, ensuring relevance for customers.
  • Lead transformation and AI tool adoption as part of the "Price Reporting Agency of the Future" initiative.
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of energy markets, risk management, price reporting, reference data and indices, commodity supply chain, and market analytics.
  • Experience leading and managing a global team across different time zones and cultures, fostering collaboration and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, able to explain complex commodity concepts simply.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and manage benchmark initiatives.
  • Track record of leadership roles in price reporting and interaction with policymakers and regulators regarding commodity benchmarks.
  • Strategic execution, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead through change, especially business transformation and AI adoption.
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,481 to $301,557, with final salary based on location, experience, and skills. The role also has an annual incentive plan and additional benefits (healthcare, time off, learning resources, retirement planning, family perks, etc.).
