Job Description
The Manager supervises the daily operations of the internal machining department, ensuring efficient production, compliance with quality and safety standards, as well as resource management. This position involves production scheduling and the implementation of processes to meet departmental objectives. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for the Apprentice Center, with direct accountability for the entire program at a 100% rate. The Manager should have a Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, and proven experience in team management. Solid knowledge of various equipment is required, along with leadership capabilities to effectively coach a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) is essential. A very good understanding of continuous improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC desired) is necessary. Knowledge of SAP is a major asset. The ability to unify and motivate cross-functional teams, both direct and indirect, is crucial. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities are important. Languages: French and English; another language is a plus. Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor performance and make necessary adjustments. Supporting teams on new processes and opportunities while maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the main processes of the department.
