Qualifications/

Development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or proven experience
• Honours Degree / Teaching Degree
• Understanding of SEND support needs in an educational setting
• SEND CPD
• Further Professional Qualifications and Training
• Evidence of continuing professional development in your subject(s) area

Experience

• Recent successful teaching at KS3 - 4
• Evidence of being an excellent teacher
• Evidence of wider commitment to working with students
• Classroom/small group teaching of students with SEND or work within a specialist setting
• Supporting students with communication and interaction needs

Knowledge Skills/

• An understanding of ASD, dyslexia and neuro-diverse needs
• Ability to build excellent trusting relationships, providing high levels of structure and nurture
• A secure knowledge and understanding of the concepts and skills essential for success for students in your subject
• An understanding of the SEND code of Practice
• Desire to progress knowledge about neurodiverse student support needs
• Ability to contribute to training others in neurodiverse needs
