About Our Client
Are you a transformative HR leader ready to shape and lead a high-performing HR Shared Services function? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, managing complex change and embedding best-in-class HR operations?
We're hiring a Head of HR Shared Services to join our clients growing HR team during a pivotal time of transformation. Based in Manchester, this role offers the opportunity to design and build a standalone HR Shared Services function that delivers efficient, compliant, and effective support across the full employee lifecycle.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and embed HR processes that ensure operational excellence and legal compliance
- Lead the transition of key HR functions from Group support to an internal shared service model
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contracts, changes, offboarding
- Optimise and support HR systems (HCM) implementation and continuous improvement
- Manage accurate and GDPR-compliant HR data, reporting and audit processes
- Deliver pensions, benefits, and payroll administration
- Drive performance, SLAs, and KPIs across the shared services team
- Partner closely with HRBPs and other internal teams for seamless service delivery
The Successful Applicant
What We're Looking For:
- Proven leadership in a Head of HR Shared Services or HR Operations environment
- Expert knowledge of UK employment law, HR compliance, pensions, and benefits
- Strong experience with HRIS systems and process automation
- Demonstrated success during periods of significant organisational change
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Organised, agile, and capable of meeting tight deadlines under pressure
- Experience working in a digital Retail / Tech / E-com would be highly advantageous
