Responsibilities

Head of Group Travel - DMC

Location: London

Salary: from £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Main duties

• To manage the team of Travel Operations Executives across within the Groups department, and provide training and guidance.
• To provide direct day-to-day management of the travel operations team within the Groups department.
• To provide training, support and guidance to the team where needed.
• To set and monitor KPI's for the operations team and adjust accordingly.
• To manage and deal with escalated enquiries from clients in a timely manner.
• To monitor and give feedback on areas of improvement/areas of success within the team.
• To be aware of cultural differences within a team and react sensitively.
• To be aware of important changes in the travel market and communicate course of action to the team.
• To report to the Directors of the company.

Candidate's Profile

• Experience in a sales role within a Destination Management Company - Essential
• Experience in People Management/Team Leadership - Essential
• Excellent communication skills with knowledge of cultural differences
• Excellent attention to detail and able to work under pressure
• Ability to lead a team effectively and make decisions appropriately
• Excellent organisational skills
• Proactive, confident and dynamic personality
• IT literate
