About this role:

The Head of Global Change plays a vital role leading the organisation through pivotal strategic transformation and project-related change through an established centre of expertise and excellence for change at JET. The role, and team, closely connects to business leaders to deliver change support on global strategic projects and programs aligned to our business strategy and priorities to maximise adoption. In addition, the role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of change culture and best practice, continuing to grow change maturity of the organisation through building and developing change capability and adoption across JET.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Lead: Global Centre of Expertise

    • Responsible for leading a global centre of expertise for change in the organisation: setting the change and quality standards and continuous improvement practices for JET with the necessary infrastructure and tooling to support change adoption and maturity

    • Lead and influence a global change agent community and network (The Change Lab) with links to all markets and functions, creating matrix connections and setting the standard on change with all change & delivery related roles & teams to effectively leverage internal resource and support behavioural change across all our personas and locations

    • Promoting change leadership and the need for change management across the organisation

    • Team leadership of change professionals including performance management, development and effective allocation of resources to business priorities and stakeholders, prioritising people impact and high ROI

    • Adapt change approaches to needs from the organisation and providing the flexibility required to get the best results in the JET environment

    • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in change management, incorporating them into the company's approach

  • Deliver: Change support aligned to business priorities

    • Providing hands on Change Management support and guidance to Management Board and Exco members to develop an aligned vision for change across priority transformational programmes within the context of their business strategy

    • Ownership of the JET Change Strategy, empowering and developing Lead Change Managers to act as 'change partners' for Exco members and support the delivery of change within Exco sponsored programmes and initiatives and challenge change readiness and adoption

    • Collaborate with Corporate Strategy, Project Management Offices (PMOs), Internal Communications and other relevant Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure change delivery is aligned with the JET vision, mission, purpose and key initiatives to effectively contribute to our employee value proposition and engagement

    • Leads and oversees the change management efforts across JET, with additional focus on providing change management advisory on delivering the global HR strategy and portfolio roadmap

  • Care: Organisational change maturity growth

    • Collaborating with the Global learning team (and providers) to implement scalable training and learning solutions to build change awareness and capability and across all layers of the organisations

    • Curating and delivering targeted learning solutions and thought leadership for the SLC and Exco to develop change sponsorship and leadership.

    • Foster and influence an environment of continuous development across the change agent community and network

What will you bring to the table?

  • Higher education degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources or related subjects or equivalent by experience

  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies and tools

  • Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives and maturing change capability in a global complex organisation in a dynamic environment, particularly with enterprise wide restructuring and post merger integration programs

  • Experience in project management and the ability to simultaneously manage, coordinate and execute a number of complex projects

  • Ability to lead a central Change Management Practice, building & maturing a scalable methodology, toolkit, curriculum and community

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to evolving organisational needs

  • Strong leadership skills and experience of team management, with the ability to inspire and develop the competency of team members

  • Exceptional communication skills, including developing and delivering presentations, written communications, and training materials.

  • High organisational sensitivity as well as empathetic on a personal level

  • A proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships, able to gain trust, respect and confidence quickly to influence and coach teams, senior stakeholders including c-suite and key partners.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to navigate strategic priorities and application and take a practical hands on approach.

Success metrics:

  • Increase employee engagement levels during change initiatives.

  • Achieve reduction in resistance to change across the organisation.

  • Successfully complete change management initiatives within budget and timeline.

  • Improve employee satisfaction with change management efforts, as measured by employee surveys.
