This is a role for a fundraising leader looking to use their skills and experience in a slightly different capacity - leading strategy, performance, budgeting and project management for the Fundraising, Policy and Communications team at Refuge.
The Head of Fundraising Strategy, Performance & Insight will act as a Fundraising, Policy and Communications representative and leader on several cross organisational strategy projects, including developing the Directorate strategy, developing the first cohesive income generation strategy (which includes all voluntary and earned income under one vision), people and culture projects, and financial/budget coordination for the Directorate.
The role will:
- Lead the directorate strategy & planning process, working closely with the Director of Fundraising, Policy and Communications.
- Work cross organisationally to develop and implement the organisation's first holistic income generation strategy, bringing together voluntary, statutory, housing and commercial income.
- Line manage a team of 6.
- Lead collaboration with teams across the whole organisation, including finance and services.
- Take a lead on finance, budgeting and compliance for the directorate.
- Lead people and culture initiatives for the directorate.
- Proven experience of shaping and driving fundraising strategies, in any of the key income streams (corporate, individual giving, philanthropy, trusts, community and events).
- Proven experience using strong technical acumen and insight to influence decision making, unlock opportunities, and deliver tangible results.
- Experience managing relationships at a senior level, and cross organisationally.
- Experience in fundraising in at least one primary income stream, plus working knowledge across all income streams.
- The ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and have big picture, long term thinking.
