Head of FP&A

Hours: Monday to Friday (3-4 days per week in the office the remaining days hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of FP&A to join our finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role is central to driving financial planning, analysis, and decision support across our multi-brand estate agency group. The successful candidate will combine deep financial expertise with strong business partnering skills to influence strategy, optimise performance, and support the growth of the business.
Main Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team capable of supporting a fast-growing, acquisitive, multi-brand estate agency group.
- Deliver branch, division, brand & group level performance analysis, identifying opportunities for revenue, margin and operational KPI improvement.
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities arising from market conditions, regulatory change, landlord behaviour, pricing dynamics and cost inflation.
- Design and implement scalable FP&A processes, reporting standards to improve insight quality, consistency and decision-making as the group grows.
- Lead an end-to-end rolling forecast, annual budgeting process and ownership of creating and measuring operational KPIs.
- Own the financial evaluation of strategic initiatives including new branch openings or closures, pricing changes, commission structures, marketing investment and major cost transformation programmes.
- Business partner closely with Heads of Residential and Senior Management, while actively holding them to account for financial performance, forecasting accuracy and delivery against agreed plans.
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance within a multi-site, multi-brand, or fast-growth business.
- Proven experience building and leading a high performing finance team.
- Strong analytical capability, able to translate complex data into clear commercial insight.
- Demonstrable ability to influence senior operational leaders, challenge commercial assumptions with data-driven insight while building good relationships.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, acquisitive and evolving business
- Experience designing and developing FP&A reporting in Power BI or similar BI tools is preferred but not essential
