The Company
A global healthcare organisation is looking for a Head of Financial Control to lead core reporting and compliance across its UK & Ireland operations.

  • Key leadership role reporting into the Finance & IT Director
  • Strong focus on controls, compliance, and financial reporting
  • Hybrid working based in the North West
  • Operates within a complex, regulated environment with global interfaces

The Role
The role is a key member of the leadership team, overseeing financial integrity, governance, and leadership of the control function.

  • Ownership of balance sheet, tax, audit, pensions, and cashflow reporting
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and statutory requirements
  • Manage key external relationships with HMRC, auditors, banks, and pension trustees
  • Lead, develop, and support the Financial Accounting team
  • Collaborate with a global shared service centre to ensure effective delivery
  • Drive process improvements, internal controls, and reporting accuracy
  • Partner with the executive team to align finance with wider business goals

The Candidate

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally trained in practice
  • Extensive post-qualified experience in financial control and compliance
  • Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge
  • Comfortable managing audits, tax, and reporting cycles
  • Familiar with SAP and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
