Head of Finance

This Head of Finance role is an outstanding opportunity to assume the Number One finance position within a successful, privately-owned specialist design and manufacturing company. Well established and highly respected, this Birmingham based, SME company is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to contribute to the ongoing success of the business.

The Role

This broad Head of Finance role reports directly to theDirectors and is a key member of the Senior Management Team. Responsibilities will include the preparation of monthly management accounts, supported by meaningful commentary and analysis for the Board, together with ownership of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Leading a finance team of three, you will ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed, customer invoicing is timely, and credit control activities are professionally managed. You will also take responsibility for maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function.

The Head of Finance will manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, bankers, insurers, and tax authorities, while providing commercial and financial insight to support strategic decision-making and the continued growth of the business

The Person

The successful candidate will most likely be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of financial leadership within SME environments. Commercially minded and strategically aware, you will be capable of contributing to the continued growth and development of the business.
