Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of Finance to join a growing organisation based in Limerick. Salary 90k plus excellent bonus structure, family healthcare, pension etc

This is a high-impact senior finance position, combining strategic financial leadership with strong commercial and operational involvement. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Senior Leadership Team, providing financial insight and challenge to support business performance, growth and long-term strategy.

The role will have significant responsibility across FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, M&A activity, business partnering and stakeholder reporting, with the opportunity to influence key strategic decisions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Reporting
  • Prepare and present high-quality financial and commercial reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Provide regular analysis of performance, profitability, cash flow and key business drivers.
  • Ensure stakeholders have the information required to make informed strategic decisions

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Full finance responsility wiht reporting to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Analyse financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends, opportunities and areas of risk.
  • Provide clear commercial insight and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • FP&A function, providing accurate and insightful analysis of business performance. Providing accurate and insightful analysis of business performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process across the business.
  • Own regular forecasting and reforecasting cycles, ensuring assumptions are robust and commercially relevant.Work closely with business unit leaders to understand performance drivers and challenge financial assumptions.
  • Monitor performance against budget and forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
M&A / Strategic Projects
  • Support the leadership team on M&A activity, including acquisition analysis, financial due diligence and integration planning.
  • Develop financial analysis and business cases for potential acquisitions, investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally on key projects designed to drive growth and improve business performance.
Senior Leadership
  • Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to wider business strategy and organisational decision-making.
  • Partner with operational and commercial leaders to drive accountability and performance.
  • Provide constructive financial challenge while maintaining a strong commercial and solutions-focused approach.
  • Support the development of the overall finance function and wider finance team.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance professional with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to operate effectively at senior leadership level.

You will ideally have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in a senior finance, FP&A, commercial finance or financial leadership role.
  • Strong experience across FP&A, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Exposure to M&A, acquisitions or strategic investment projects.
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to challenge and influence decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The confidence and credibility to operate as a key member of a Senior Leadership Team.
