Overview

We are hiring a Head of Finance to lead the Irish business of a well-established financial services organisation. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the finance function and a key position on the Executive Committee.

Reporting to the CEO, you will play a critical role in shaping strategy, driving financial performance, and ensuring a robust control and regulatory environment. This role operates as a PCF 11 Controlled Function, carrying significant regulatory responsibility and accountability.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

• Partner with the CEO and Exco to define and deliver business strategy and long-term growth plans
• Provide strong commercial insight and challenge to support key decision-making
• Support pricing strategy and new business initiatives

Financial Control & Reporting

• Ensure a best-in-class financial control and governance environment
• Oversee delivery of statutory accounts, regulatory and tax reporting
• Act as a key contact for auditors and internal stakeholders
• Maintain robust financial and regulatory reporting frameworks

Performance & Planning

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes
• Deliver clear and insightful performance reporting to Exco
• Drive accountability for financial targets across the business

Risk & Regulatory Oversight

• Identify, manage and report financial risks to relevant committees
• Play a key role in governance and risk frameworks
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and frameworks applicable to a PCF 11 role

Leadership

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
• Foster an inclusive, performance-driven culture
• Drive talent development and succession planning

Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven senior finance leadership experience within financial services
• Strong commercial acumen across financial control and FP&A
• Experience operating at Executive / Board level
• Track record of leading high-performing teams

Critical Requirement

• PCF 11 experience
  • This is a regulated leadership role requiring approval by the Central Bank
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong experience in governance, regulatory reporting and financial control within a regulated environment

Desirable

• Experience in lending, asset finance or similar regulated sectors
