Job Description
Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum (higher for fully qualified candidates)

Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00 (09:00-16:00 during school holidays)

About the RoleJoin a highly reputable organisation in a beautiful, rural setting as Head of Finance. This is a superb opportunity to lead the finance function and oversee all aspects of financial and management accounting. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and distribute monthly management accounts
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Review nominal ledger coding
- Generate monthly departmental budget reports
- Transition the department to electronic record-keeping
- Manage quarterly VAT returns and annual adjustments
- Liaise with HMRC and external advisers
- Maintain asset register for CGS calculations
- Set up and manage direct debit payments
- Supervise three Finance Assistants, including appraisals
- Oversee purchase and sales ledger functions
- Manage company credit card transactions and reconciliations
- Review monthly catering and hospitality charges
- Recently qualified or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must drive and have own transport
