Job Description

Were looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to takecharge of a range of essential support services within Facilities Management.

Were looking for an inspiring and driven Head of FacilitiesServices to join our Facilities Team, with responsibility for a wide range ofessential services, including:

  • Domestic Services
  • Linen and Laundry
  • Switchboard
  • Postal Services
  • Accommodation Services

In this key leadership role, youll manage both the peopleand resources that power these vital operations, ensuring services areefficient, responsive, and delivered to the highest standard. Youll oversee anannual budget spanning across multiple core services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strongoperational and financial management skills, a passion for service improvement,and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

37.5 hours per week - Mon - Fri

Main duties of the job

This role plays a vital part in shaping the patient andstaff experience by ensuring services like cleaning, catering, portering,switchboard, and accommodation are delivered safely, efficiently, and to thehighest standards.

Youll manage multi-functional teams, oversee suppliercontracts, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and take ownership ofperformance, budgets, and service improvement. Strong leadership,communication, and operational management skills are key, along with theability to work across departments and respond to the needs of both patientsand staff.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Knowledge to Masters equivalent plus further management experience.
  • B TEC Infection Control
  • Understanding of Manual Handling
  • Experience of recruitment process.
  • Possession of a suitable qualification within cleaning
  • Diploma in management
  • Awareness of COSHH
  • Experience of Risk Assessments
Knowledge
  • Significant experience of managing multiple Facilities services within Hospital environment or similar related environment
  • Recruitment and selection experience.
  • Presenting complex information to large groups
  • Working knowledge/experience of other facilities services
