An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspirational English specialist to lead a successful, dedicated and high-performing English department. We are seeking an outstanding practitioner with the vision, expertise and drive to help students achieve their full potential while shaping the future direction of English across the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or current middle leader looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and values-driven environment.

The Role

As Head of English, you will:

  • Lead and manage the English department across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Take responsibility for curriculum development and strategic leadership of English throughout the school.
  • Drive high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Raise standards of attainment and achievement.
  • Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Inspire, support and develop colleagues within the department.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school as a Form Tutor.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:

? A qualified teacher with QTS
? Passionate about delivering exceptional English lessons
? Able to teach English to A Level (preferred)
? An effective leader who can motivate and develop a team
? Committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for students
? An excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
? Dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
