Head of Development

Full Time Salary £60,000

The Coventry School Foundation, comprising King Henry VIII School and Bablake, is seeking to appoint its first Head of Development.

Our bursary and scholarship fund is dedicated to transforming young lives by widening access to the outstanding education offered across both schools. We are now looking for an experienced fundraising professional to lead our development activity, secure transformational philanthropic support, and help establish a lasting culture of giving.

This is a senior, highly visible role with the opportunity to make a profound impact on pupils, families, and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver a strategic development programme to support the long-term ambitions of each school.
  • Build and steward high-value relationships with alumni, parents, and supporters, acting as a senior ambassador for philanthropic engagement.
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure philanthropic support, articulating impact and translating stories of opportunity and transformation into compelling cases for investment.
  • Oversee donor communications and stewardship, ensuring an excellent supporter experience and sustained giving.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the wider staff community, leveraging shared insight, research, and institutional knowledge to identify and cultivate prospective donors.
