Alchemy is partnering with an established Auction House to find a Head of Department for their Arms and Armour sector. This role requires a dedicated leader to oversee the department's operations, manage client relationships, and drive growth within the collectible arms and armour market.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a specialised team, ensuring operational efficiency and exceptional performance.
• Catalogue and prepare arms and armour sales, adhering to deadlines and maintaining budgeted commission levels.
• Expand the department's client base by actively pursuing new business and fostering relationships with relevant trade and professional bodies.
• Manage department budgets effectively, ensuring optimal use of resources to benefit the department.
• Maintain high standards of client service, meeting all contractual obligations to buyers and vendors.
• Travel as necessary to achieve business and client relationship objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in the arms and armour sector, preferably within an auction house.
• Established relationships with key dealers and collectors in the arms and armour field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and networking abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant computer and business enterprise software.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
