Head of Delivery (MSP)

Our client, a rapidly growing managed technology services provider, is seeking an experienced Head of Delivery to lead the strategic direction and operational execution of complex IT and security transformation programmes across a diverse portfolio of enterprise clients.

This position will suit a senior delivery professional with a passion for operational excellence, client success, and scaling service capability within a high-performing, customer-focused environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping delivery frameworks, optimising project performance, and mentoring a team of project and service leaders to deliver outstanding results.

The Role

As Head of Delivery, you will have full ownership of the technology delivery function, driving consistency, accountability, and excellence across project execution. You'll work closely with senior leadership to align delivery outcomes with business strategy, ensuring that technical teams, partners, and customers are all working towards shared objectives.

You will lead multiple concurrent programmes across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains, ensuring every engagement meets both technical and commercial success criteria. Acting as the key escalation point for delivery, you will continuously refine governance models, resource planning, and customer communication to deliver exceptional experiences at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and delivery of multiple technology projects and managed service engagements.
• Define and implement best-practice frameworks for delivery governance, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Lead, coach, and develop project management and engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure client objectives are met on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Provide strategic input to long-term business planning, including forecasting, capacity management, and resource optimisation.
• Monitor performance against key delivery metrics and implement corrective actions where required.
• Lead executive-level client reviews, ensuring transparency, confidence, and customer satisfaction throughout delivery.
• Manage risk, change, and scope across multiple high-value projects to safeguard delivery outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal technical leaders to refine delivery capability and integrate new solutions into the service portfolio.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience leading technology or service delivery functions within an MSP, systems integrator, or enterprise IT environment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience motivating cross-functional teams across infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multimillion-pound delivery portfolios with a focus on client satisfaction, profitability, and operational performance.
• Background in programme or project management, ideally supported by professional certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Experience implementing scalable delivery frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing senior clients and internal executives alike.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to translate technical projects into measurable business value.
