What you'll be doing

Team Management and Development

  • Spearhead the build-out, management and training of a dedicated delivery team for our Technology, Industrials and Financial Services consulting division.
  • Work with the Global Leader and Operations Manager to design roles, plan team structure and hire a balanced team capable of delivering a broad range of consulting engagements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and high performance, supporting colleagues in the delivery team to progress and realize long-term career ambitions.
  • Liaise with consulting directors, research & analysis leadership and global consulting leader to develop compelling client solutions that leverage GlobalData's strengths, and address skill gaps within the delivery team accordingly.
  • Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and enhancing their leadership capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages team members to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Collaborate strongly with colleagues in research and analysis (as well as others throughout the business), to ensure seamless co-delivery of projects, from sale to completion.

Project Delivery

  • Oversee the delivery of all projects, ensuring they are delivered are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, problem solving with consulting directors and project managers as needed.
  • Manage the group admin assistant in supporting consulting directors and project managers with end-to-end project admin. Improve processes to minimize effort and friction for colleagues.
  • Manage project pipeline and plan resourcing, working closely with relevant colleagues in research & analysis. Track key operational metrics.
  • Take accountability for staffing of all projects, collaborating with functional leaders and sub-team leads
  • Occasionally lead day-to-day execution of projects, directly managing project teams and maintaining high standards to meet and exceed client expectations.

Support continued revenue growth

  • Support Consulting Directors in scoping and pricing of new projects, including advising on methodology and timelines.
  • Develop customized consulting solutions to meet client needs, leveraging GlobalData's extensive research and analytical capabilities.
  • Identify and understand current clients' needs.

StrategicDevelopment, Innovation & Improvement

  • Support the global leader in developing a long-term consulting strategy that aligns with the broader company objectives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve consulting methodologies and processes.
  • Champion and advise on leveraging AI in consulting delivery for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to ensure GlobalData remains at the forefront of market research and consulting.

What we're looking for

  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to conceptualize and communicate solutions to our clients' business issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Planning: Ability to plan resources against multiple projects utilizing cross functional and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to communicate clear trade-offs and make key decisions
  • Team Management Experience: Experience managing and coaching high performing teams
  • Project Management Experience: Extensive project management & planning experience within a client support role. Demonstrable ability to manage projects to deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Technical Skills: Strong skills related to market sizing, competitive analysis, benchmarking, primary research, storytelling, and other relevant analytic frameworks.
  • Client Management: Experience working closely with and managing internal and/or external clients, and in preparing and conducting presentations to Senior Management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of some of the Construction, Energy, Enterprise Software, Technology, Telco, Insurance, Banking or Payments sectors, obtained through either working in the industry or in a consultancy preferred.
  • Financial and Operational Acumen: Experience of setting and tracking business KPIs
